What You Will Contribute To Cycle Tx
An exciting opportunity is available to join Cycle Therapeutics. We are seeking highly motivated, creative, and collaborative individuals who are passionate about women’s health and driven to find cures and treatments for diseases that affect women.
Responsibilities
-
Drive visionary science towards understanding disease mechanisms and targeting disease.

Accelerate research activities by working collaboratively with other scientists, including from other fields such as Physics and Engineering.

Develop project-specific experimental strategies, assays, and protocols.
-
Help develop and optimise assays based in matrix and tissue biology, as well as molecular biology.

Execute experiments to identify disease targets, including establishment of screenable readouts.
-
Handle patient samples, including processing and data collection as well as interacting with patients.

Contribute to writing grants and engaging externally on the science we perform.
Who You Are
Minimum requirements for the Senior Scientist role include:
-
PhD and a documented record of professional achievement.

Ability to perform benchwork in an independent manner.
-
Problem-solving skills sufficient to conduct innovative research.

Desire to collaborate in a team-oriented, mission driven way with workers from other disciplines.

Demonstrated high productivity and aptitude in prioritising tasks.
-
Ability to work on targeted questions, as well as the initiative to work on more open-ended questions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in industry is preferred but not required.
Candidates with strong training in the following fields are preferred:

Experience working with menstrual fluid, endometrial tissue or other primary (ideally human) tissue

Matrix and/or tissue biology
-
Molecular biology
-
Tissue and cell culture
-
Experience with patients and sample collections
-
Screening platforms, including small molecules and RNAi, etc.

Computational analysis of laboratory results
-
Writing skills, including the ability to consolidate and clarify research strategies and overall vision for dissemination to potential funders.

Experience in disease modelling
